10 REASONS WHY I LOVE MY JOB... {Minneapolis senior photographer]

There has never been any doubt in my mind why I chose photography and why I still love it 23 years later. Actually, I think I love it even MORE than I ever did. Why? It's you... my clients that keep my heart full and keep me wanting to create wonderful memories for you.

I have been working in photography for going on 24 years now. 17 of those being in Minnesota. I have seen many changes in my business in the past years... but the one thing that remains constant is my dedicated clients (whom I consider family).

I am starting to freak out a bit each senior season as now those little kiddos that I first photographed when I first came here are starting to come in as seniors all grown up. I seriously have my moment when I first see them again. Some I see every year or couple years... and some its literally been 10-12 years. They somehow have magically transformed into men and women!

But I am most filled with joy to have been a part of their lives, somehow in my own little way, and have been blessed by seeing them grow up.

Here are 10 such wonderful, amazing, talented and gorgeous seniors that I got to work with waaaay back when and again this past summer. These are the 10 reasons I love my job so much!!

OLIVIA

I first got to work with Olivia when her little sister Julia was born 10 years ago. She has always had the sweetest personality. I have fallen in love with her family as well and look forward to our yearly photo sessions.

BELLE

Oh what can I say about Belle! I worked with her and her awesome family 14 years ago! I hadn't seen Belle in so many years so I REALLY had a freak out moment when I got to work with her again. She has grown up into such a wonderful young lady.

ALI

I just adore this gal and her equally as amazing mom. They have been such a spark in my life the past years since I have moved here. FINALLY Ali was a senior and I got the honor to work with her a couple times this summer! xo

ZACK

Zack was one of my favorite sessions this summer. I hadn't worked with him since he was maybe 4. Zack has autism and I was especially excited to work with him and his lovely mom again. He was amazing and we captured some wonderful images for them.

NATALIE

Natalie is 5th in line of 7 children. I think. I lose count sometimes as I am sure so does her awesome mom Julie. I have LOVED working with Natalie and the crew over the years and watching these kiddos grow up.

MOLLY

I fell in love with Molly and her family the moment I met them, but life got busy and went fast and before I knew it... she was calling me for senior photos! Working with her again was a highlight of my summer.

JACK

I was probably the most amazed at the adult transformation of Jack. I hadn't seen him in over 10 years and somehow between 2006 and 2017 he became a man! What a wonderful young man he has become.

TESS

I used to photograph Tess and her two sisters every year and it was fun to see them growing up. I hadn't seen her in a few years so I was tickled to work with her again. She has the best sparkly personality.

CADE

Ryan was the cutest little 4 year old when I first met him! I hadn't seen him in the in-between years so was blessed to have the chance to work with him again!! He is a fine young man and will do well out in the world!

KYLA

This sweet little girl with long blonde locks of hair magically turned into a sweet grown up lady with a blonde bob. She has something very special about her and I enjoyed out sessions this summer!

Tara Giles Photography - I love that you incorporated the photos of them as small children into their senior portrait session. It is always so much fun to do that and see the change as they grow up. And I especially love that you are still so passionate about your work and connection to your clients after many years!
