Please come with your make up done the way you like it best. This is not the time to overdue it just because you are getting your photos taken. You want to look like yourself.

Do NOT use a foundation with SPF. It has reflective particles that will look bad in the light. A matte foundation is best.

Try not to use too much eyeliner as it makes the eyes look smaller and dark. Using a powder on the bottom lash line looks more natural.

Avoid shimmer and sparkle eyeshadows and cheek color, it doesn't photograph well.

Come with your hair styled the way you like it most. Make sure that it is not in your face as a lot of the shots may be with you looking to the side or being playful with kids and I will want to see your beautiful face.

Please get all haircuts and color done a week or two before your session so that it gives your hair time to settle in.

If your hair is frizzy... that WILL show in photos, especially if the sun is from behind. If this is an issue for you, please use/bring hair product to tame hair or consider getting a smoothing treatment a week before your session. Annie can fix a few flyaways in the editing process, but can do nothing about frizzy hair.

Please make sure your nails are clean or polished nice. Do not come with chipped nail polish. There is an extra fee to fix it in editing.

Please use lip balm a few days before the session so your lips are not dry and chapped.

Yes guys... there are a few things that even you can do to look your best for your day in the spotlight!

Please come with your hair the way you like it. Bring along extra product if it is windy or hot so we can keep it looking amazing.

Make sure your nails are clean.

Eyebrows groomed.

Come either clean shaven or if you want facial hair... at least have it groomed. Editing out stubble is an extra fee.

Use a lip balm a few days before the session so your lips don't look dry and chapped.

Even kids may need some help...

Make sure hair is done the way you like it. Boys have the product needed to keep it in place and that the girls have their hair as natural as possible. It is best that they look like themselves and not too over done and proper.

For girls with long hair, make sure it is out of the face so that when we do the more informal interacting photos, that I am able to see their face.

For little girls, I don't mind a bow or barrette... but please don't make it larger than a quarter. Nothing distracts more than a bow or flower in their hair that is too big. Please... just don't.

For more lifestyle, at home sessions... I really don't mind kids as they are....which means messy uncombed hair if that is how they are at home. Some of my favorite photos of myself when I was little are the more unkempt ones because that was me as a little girl in the country. Lifestyle images are just that... REAL LIFE.

Make sure there is not chipped nail polish on girls.
