of letting ourselves be in all our beautiful glory
and the world will look at us and be glad.
if for a moment
we could step away from our insecurities.
knowing that those images in magazines are lies.
that those women don't exist.
if for a moment we could know how beautiful we are.
that our imperfections that have held us back
are really what makes us most special.
if for a moment
we could capture that moment
when our heart & soul are content
and we begin to radiate...
knowing at that moment
we ARE beautiful
Every woman wants to be beautiful and IS beautiful... I see it. I can be a hypocrite when it comes to looking in the mirror and wrinkling my nose, not liking what I see sometimes. Yet I look at women... and I see a beauty that they often haven't even discovered. I don't see the imperfections like I see mine. I love watching the women in these beauty sessions make a transformation of discovering that yes.. they ARE gorgeous. That is has been there the whole time. Hiding underneath all the hugs for their kids, the dishes washed. The attention to a spouse, The reports filed. The carpets vacuumed and the meals prepared. The worries and the hurries and the lies of beauty in the media. We often forget ourselves in the purpose of providing love and care for those around us we love. It's time we reclaim ourselves back. It's time to look into that mirror and rejoice in what we see. (I'm working on that one). Treat yourself to a beauty session soon... you SO deserve it!
This is Nora. I have known her for many years. And if anybody deserved a beauty session.... it was Nora. She is a nature woman. Dedicated to her husband, her son, their home and the earth. You often find her digging around in her garden or cooking something amazing. She and her husband built their home in rural Wisconsiin from the ground up. Just the two of them. It is the most gorgeous home. Not made of fancy... but made of character and love. Every corner has a story. Her heart is big and her hands are full. She was so ecited to get "pampered" and step into a world she has not touched in years. Not feeling comfortable in front of the lens... she was perfect. Because she is perfect to me. Thank you Nora for trusting in my vision and stepping outside your comfort zone. You ARE a gorgeous creature.
